Updates From Haiti |
It is a blessing when our young people love God so much that they would give selflessly of their time to the less fortunate. We want to thank these young ladies for the time they spent with the children in the boys and girls homes, also for their participation to make a better Haiti. God Bless you.
Ron Wyatt, his family and other members from Midway Baptist Church in Kentucky. Their time in Haiti has impacted the community. They did some amazing work with their God given talents,.God blessed them with the ability to help in building a new Haiti.
During the 43 years that Grace International has been in existence, the Lord has blessed us with incredible partners. We would like to share a few stories with you. Recently a set of 18 year old twins revisited their homeland. We are very grateful to Pastor Dave from Renewed Strength Church.
When God steps in miracles happen. Thank you to Pastor Luke Weaver Jr. and your team. Grace International also sends a big thank you to Joshua for hisour awesome metal working machine and God given talents. God bless you all.
If you never traveled with a group before, I have to tell you it can make things interesting and always seems to take longer than it should. (Not to mention adding into the mix the complication of trying to get 7 large boxes of candy canes shipped when finding out at the airport that there is currently an embargo on boxes going into Haiti.) Although we cut it very close in making our flight, by God's grace, the whole team, our bags, and all 5000 candy canes made it onto the plane. Whew!
At the Christmas parties, each child receives a gift of their very own. In most cases, this will be the only gift that they will receive for Christmas for many of them, it may be the only thing they have to call their own. The gifts themselves are very simple, but the children really do treasure them. Each gift includes a small toy. For the girls it is a doll, and for the boys a car or a motorcycle, a balloon, a small package of cookies, a piece of candy, and a small story tract or a New Testament Bible.
Dresses for Toys
We are so thankful to Linda Manla of Key Biscayne, who did the hard work of sewing 100 dresses for the young girls in our orphanages and resettlement camps of Port au Prince. Key Biscayne Community Church found sponsors for the dresses of their choice. Money raised from the dresses was used to purchase Thousands of Toys for the Christmas Parties!
"Bless the Children Christmas Crusade" began on December 8, 2014. More than 13,700 children were blessed. A message of the love of Jesus, music, food, toys and great fellowship with children from other orphan homes, schools and from the streets was passionately conveyed. By the time the parties were finished more than 25,000 were blessed. God performed supernatural miracles of provision of food and toys. Not one child was left.
We would like to thank our many partners throughout the world who make it possible for us to do the work that we do every day.
Through your collaboration and support, we are impacting the lives of hundreds of thousands of people by providing opportunity and empowerment. Thank you!
Every month, we receive several groups from North America and around the world who join us to work on service projects in Haiti. These projects include construction, agriculture, mobile medical clinics, teaching, etc. We welcome you to join us and experience the beauty and promise of building A New Haiti!
